What to Expect as a New Patient
When you arrive at the Family Chiropractic Center of Richmond, expect to be treated with the utmost care and concern in a professional and respectful manner. Our doctors and staff are trained in the latest care options and will evaluate, review, and recommend the best plan to meet your healthcare needs and concerns.
Consultation
As a new patient, your first visit consists of an extremely thorough consultation and examination. Our goal is to learn more about you, your body, your health, and your lifestyle as it relates to your condition and overall well-being. As a new patient, we request that you complete the new patient forms before your appointment. The forms are necessary for us to get the most accurate assessment of your condition.
Exam
During the initial exam, we will evaluate your posture, check reflexes, test muscle strength as well as perform chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological tests. The doctor will advise you if imaging studies, such as x-rays (which are performed on-site) or MRI is necessary. The purpose of this examination is so that we can detect the cause of your problem and how it may be related to your symptoms.
Report of Findings
Once we have taken additional time to review your case, we will sit down with you on your next visit to explain the findings. This visit is designed so that we can help you learn more about your body and your condition. The doctor will prescribe a personalized care program based on your unique spinal/health condition that will help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
Treatment
If appropriate, your personalized treatment plan will be prescribed, including a thorough explanation of how the treatment works, what our goals are related to your care, and what to expect from us to ensure you achieve the best possible results.
